February Goals

Is it just me, or is this year flying?
I can't believe we're already in month two, and in four months [whaaaaat.] I'm getting married!
I'm completely shocked by this.

Like last month, I'm setting monthly goals for myself to help motivate me to accomplish tasks throughout February. I share them with y'all so my sweet blog readers can hold me somewhat accountable. ;)

You can check out my January goals here & how I did accomplishing them here.
Or you can always check out the tabs at the top of my blog to see how I'm doing throughout the month!

1. Begin eating healthy & setting up a workout plan/routine.
Yes. I know. I said this for January. I obviously didn't accomplish this.
Like I said, I don't eat terrible. But I don't eat completely healthy. And I definitely don't work out, and I say that shamefully. But if I want to look good in my wedding dress and on my honeymoon, I better get this butterball of a body onto an elliptical. ASAP.

2. Save. Save. Save.
I've already put away money into my savings account. I do this immediately after getting paid at the end of the month. I still need to add money into our 52-week plan envelope. We're actually doubling the amount you're suppose to put in, just so we're more prepared by the end of the year. But I did good not buying extra stuff that I just wanted in January, and I'm hoping in February I can do the same.

3. Order Cody's wedding band.
If he's going to have his wedding band in pictures, I better get a move on.
Like I mentioned before, he's wearing his granddad's wedding band for our first year of marriage, but he still wants to have his own wedding band for our pictures.

4. Continue going to bed early.
I can't tell you enough how much this has helped me throughout the week.
Obviously, I'm a person that needs sleep. Lord help me when I have kids.
And I get so much more accomplished, and am such a happier person with a solid seven hours of sleep. A 4:30am wake-up call is difficult y'all.

5. Honeymoon?
I'd like to say we're going to book our honeymoon in February, but really I'm not sure.
Cody found out the other day that they don't know if his job will give him the week after our wedding off. So it's hard to book a honeymoon if you don't know dates. The beach sounds so good to me right now. :(

6. Register!
I'm kinda cheating by putting this on here because I registered on February 1st!
But it really was one of my February goals since I didn't make it in January.
So check. :)

7. Food Tasting for wedding.
I'm ready to get this one knocked out. I've been waiting to try our wedding food since the day we got engaged! We are scheduled to try our wedding food February 9th. Hopefully it's yummy!

8. Groom & Groomsmen Attire.
Cody & I need to decide where we're going to order their attire and what they're going to wear. And then somehow, wrangle all those boys into the store to get them fitted.

9. Read a book.
Sounds so simple. But I don't know the last time I've read a book all the way through, and I really want to. I started the Wizard of Oz last week on my iPhone, because I've never read the book. But I actually want to read it all the way through.

10. Spend an evening in Athens. Again.
Last month we spent a Saturday night in that perfect little town, enjoying the bar scene and ended the night at a new restaurant we had never been to. I'd love to get out of our shell, and try a new bar/restaurant in Athens that we haven't been to. Live it up while we can, you know?

11. Pick a flower girl dress.
I have a difficult time making decisions, and I really don't want to make a wrong one.
I need to put that nonsense aside, and decide on an official dress.

12. Enjoy a simple, relaxed Valentine's Day at home.
I would love nothing more this Valentine's Day than to stay at home, cook a nice dinner, and watch a movie together on the couch. I don't need gifts. Just simple. Just the two of us.
Our last one before we're a married couple. :)

Whew. Thinking positively this month. I can do it!

  1. Number one is so me too! And we are just having a really low key Vday too - it will be our first married one. My sis is getting married in June, so close to yours. This year is flying by!

  4. I can't believe how soon your wedding is! Thanks for posting this, it reminded me that I need to make my February goals too! I'm also one of those people who needs tons of sleep, i.e. I have no idea what I am going to do when I have kids and that isn't possible anymore! :/

  5. I made getting at least 7 hours of sleep a goal for this week. I have a terrible habit of staying up late and then being a bum every morning and pushing getting ready for work back until the last possible minute. If I want to be productive in the morning (work out or just get stuff done) I need to first get out of bed. Good luck with all of your wedding stuff. How exciting that it's coming up so soon! And I agree, how is it February already?!
