Today marks four months of marriage for Cody and I, and what better way to celebrate it than to share pictures of the moment that started our forever.
Honestly, the first time I really saw what our ceremony site looked like was when our photographer, Katie, got our pictures back to us. Everything was such a blur, with a few moments of clarity in between. One of the moments of complete clarity was right before the ceremony began. When I walked out of where my bridesmaids and I got ready, I could look down the hill and see a full view of the ceremony site, with all our friends and family waiting patiently for us. I remember feeling completely at peace looking at this view. As Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song" played in the background as our mom's walked down the isle, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I said a quick prayer before my ride began to the ceremony site. The drive down the hill was when the butterflies overwhelmed my stomach. I was playing through everything we had rehearsed the day before in my head, when suddenly, the car parked and my dad was waiting to open the door of the car. As my dad and I walked to the entry doors of the ceremony site, I became teary eyed, knowing how this day was forever life changing. The doors opened and I immediately looked down to my forever. The enter isle walk down the isle, I stayed locked on Cody, which instantly made the butterflies go away. As we stood at the altar, I remember blocking everything (including the goats that seemed to be having the time of their lives during our ceremony) and everybody out, and only focusing on my soon-to-be husband and our preacher. The ceremony seemed to go so quick, and before I knew it, we made our first kiss as husband and wife, and made our walk back down the isle as one. :)
Wow! What a beautiful setting! And I LOVE all of the matching details: the flowers, the flower petals, that little vanity, the water bottles - all so perfect!
