Fort Walton Beach | Part One

We took our little family beach vacation at the end of June with Cody's family.
All three of us battled icky colds and Harper threw in a whole lot of not sleeping throughout our few days down in Fort Walton. So, needless to say, this wasn't the most relaxing vacation, but we sure made the best of it, soaking in all of Harper's big toddler smiles playing in the sand and the water.

Our first night there, we immediately hit the beach - which Harper was so excited about. We enjoyed pizza for dinner since we were all super tired from the trip. We woke up early the next morning, spent time at the beach, and ended the afternoon at the pool. We went out for dinner that night before the storms rolled in.

Father's Day Weekend

We split our Father's Day weekend up to see all the awesome dads in our life.
We spent the first part of the weekend with Cody's dad (aka. DeDaw) at his parents house and played in the pool. We visited my stepdad (aka. PawPaw) and had a taco night on Father's Day.

Mother's Day + Cody's Birthday

We always get to celebrate double in May with not only Mother's Day, but also Cody's birthday. We spent Mother's Day at Cody's parents house, celebrating all the occasions and letting Harps get lots of outside playtime. It was a special day - even with Harper picking her nose in almost every picture!

Strawberries

We visited our favorite strawberry fields in April with our sweet girl, and once again loved it. We love visiting Washington Farms in October for pumpkins, and it's become a new tradition of ours to visit in the spring to pick strawberries.

The first time Harper went the year before, she loved picking them so much, she squeezed them all over her hands and onto her shirt before realizing she could use the bucket to hold all her berries. This year, she caught onto the bucket concept a lot quicker, and I can proudly say we made it out with only one strawberry stain. A win in my book. :)
