Weekend Shenanigans: LS-WHO?

It's Monday y'all!
That means another weekend in the books.
But to look on the bright side, only five more long workdays until the weekend.
Counting down already.

The week always seems easier after a Georgia win.
And my Dawgs won big.
Against a very strong, 6th ranked, LSU team.
It's great to be a Georgia Bulldog on this Monday morning.

Cody and I weren't lucky enough to go, but watched from home instead.
You would have thought we were there with how much yelling we did.

Here's what our Saturday looked like.

DAWGS WIN!
Georgia: 44 LSU: 41

Sunday, we hit our favorite local produce market/farm after the boys played golf, and Ashley (A Thousand Words) and I worked out at the gym.

It was a good way to end the weekend, and spend time with our friends.

Engagement picture preview right here. #notcooperating

Hope your weekend was enjoyable and relaxing!
And remember:
GO DAWGS!

Five On Friday

Better late than never, right?

I figured I could be a little productive and blog, rather than watch Cody repeatedly play Grand Theft Auto.
Yes, we're party people Friday nights.

So this evening, with two hours left of my Friday, I'm going to link-up with Darci at The Good Life for Five on Friday.

Number One

Jamie at Southern Simplicity posted this video on her blog, and it about brought tears to my eyes, I'm not even going to lie. She shares the same passion for the University of Georgia as I do, and this video is pretty amazing.
 Words can't even describe it.

Number Two

While we're on the topic of Georgia football, I'm pretty distraught that Cody and I won't be going to the game tomorrow.
It's a big game.
A HUGE game.
And we won't be there.

We have nobody to babysit our child (aka. Hank).
With us being gone from 7am-9pm, there's no way he can stay in his pin that long.
And Hank definitely can't be trusted to stay out.
[He ate a bottle of Gorilla Glue this morning while I was in the shower. What.]

So, if you want to know where I'll be tomorrow, I'll sitting [probably pacing due to nervousness] around my living room, cheering  [ok, yelling too.] on my Dawgs, and sending lots of prayers up to the college football gods, that Georgia upsets LS-WHO? ;)

At least I'll be joined by these two cuties.
And you better believe Maci and me will be wearing our gameday attire.

Number Three

It's official.
I've come down with a case of Fall Fever.
Apparently, I'm really behind in this.
Everybody's been hootin' and hollerin' about fall for weeks now.
I was still soaking up the warmth of summer.

Even though I'm still dreading the chilly mornings, I'm ready for some crockpot chili, Starbucks hot chocolate, and our annual pumpkin picking at Jaemor Farms.

Number Four

I really wish I could show y'all the video of my kids from class today.
If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen my students "calling the dawgs."
It was freakin' adorable.

We have a magic number every morning duirng math calendar.
This morning our number was '34'
Todd Gurley #3 + Keith Marshall #4 = Magic Number: 34

Instantly, the boys were intrigued.
They drew pictures of Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley the rest of the day.
My fault. ;)

Number Five

I have been engaged since July 2012.
When we got engaged, it seemed like an eternity until Cody and I were actually getting married. Just this past week, we booked a date for our engagement pictures.
HOLY CRAP.
Engagement pictures already?
I don't even feel ready for them.
I planned on having adorable outfits picked out.
I dreamed of having a decent tan.
I wanted to lose some weight.
And none of this has happened.
And now I only have a month to figure this out.
I don't know where time went.

Oh yes, I do.
It went into my 26, now 23, little babes in 2nd grade.

Got to get it together, y'all.

Happy one-hour left on the east coast Friday!

Wedding Wednesday: Meet the Maids {Whitney}

The next four Wednesday's will be dedicated to my Bridesmaids.
Each Wednesday, I'll pick one girl to introduce and share our friendship story.
I want to do something like this at our wedding, but since I can't invite all y'all, what better way to share with y'all how I know my four best friends.
---
{Whitney}

Whitney is my sister.
No doubt is she my best friend.
It felt only right to ask her to be my Maid of Honor.
I don't understand how some siblings don't get along, or can't stand being around each other.
I've never felt that way about Whitney, and I hope I never do.
I'll admit that she gets on my nerves sometimes.
And I can guarantee, that I can get on her nerves even more.
But what's special about our relationship, we always let it go.
We have a mutual understanding about never hating each other, I like to think.
Whitney is two years younger than me.
And honestly, it's the perfect age gap.
I know I want my kids to be two-years apart like Whitney and me.
When we were little, we relied on each other a lot.
Sure, we fought every once awhile.
She was a biter.
But we always enjoyed playing together.
We always liked the same things for the most part.
And for the most part, we were always at the same school.
We always had each other.
Now that we're older, Whitney actually lives with Cody and me.
She goes to school close to where we live, so it just makes sense.
I love having the freedom of being on my own, but I also love the comfort of having Whitney around to talk to and help out.
And I know Cody enjoys having her here too.
I know I can always talk to Whitney.
She's a good listener, and even gives advice when I need it.
She gives me confidence and help.
She even picks up Hank's dinosaur poop when he potties in the house.
She has the biggest heart.
She's beautiful on the outside, but even more on the inside.
She's been there through thick and thin.
I couldn't imagine not having Whitney by my side on the biggest day of my life.
I'm so proud of who she is, and who she's becoming.
It was a complete honor to have her as my Maid of Honor.

Love you pork chop ;)
