Sorry for the sudden fall of the face of the earth!
I'm completely slacking in the post, reply to comments and reading blogs departments.
Heck. I can't even post bumpdates on time.
This is all thanks to the joyous (but really hectic, stressful, ridiculously busy) time of the year called "BACK TO SCHOOL." Hopefully in time and after lots of Sprite and chocolate chip cookies, I can get back on track in this department. Thank you for your understanding. :)
Due Date: December 17, 2015
Baby is the size of: One app says large banana, one says pomegranate. Either way, she's about 7 inches long.
Symptoms: Well. After several hours of sitting in meetings or taking 5 million steps around my classroom in preparation for the first day, swollen ankles and sore feet have crept back into the picture. (It really doesn't seem to matter what shoes I wear) Acne seems to have picked up a little. Stretching of my belly muscles have made twisting and turning a little sore at times. And an OVERWHELMING sense of tiredness and exhaustion, which may or may have not contributed to several emotional breakdowns this week...
Gender: A sweet little girl. She is spoiled rotten already with so many outfits. I love telling people I'm going to be a girl mom. I never thought I would be!
You can check out our gender reveal party here.
Name: Still deciding on when to announce it. I'm probably not in the best emotional state to hear people's opinions if they don't like it, so for everybody else's safety and my sanity, I'll wait until the time is right. :)
Movement: I felt a really strong jab from the outside the other night while laying on the couch! I love it! She's been throwing some punches every now and then. I've been having a diet Dr. Pepper in the morning, which gets her pumped up to start our work day! Random movements throughout the day otherwise.
Nursery: Three words - back to school. Ask again later.
Maternity Clothes: I still need some more tops probably. I'm pretty sure I'm good on bottoms. Plus I ordered two belly bands because I can still fit into my regular pants for the most part. Just not buttoned. Or even zipped. I'm kinda dreading wearing real clothes again in the real world.
Sleep: Can't get enough. Literally. Between waking up at 5am. Working my booty off in the classroom. Sitting in meetings that completely drain my brain from any productivity. And then waking up two or three times to go to the bathroom or simply just waking up for the fun of it. I'm not getting enough sleep and it's definitely shown in my emotions. Hormonal and tired. Ick.
Best Moment This Week: I really liked everybody knowing at work. Everybody has been so kind and sweet. It's exciting news to share. Plus, feeling her move on the outside was really neat!
Missing Anything: Not anything new. Just some sandwiches.
Cravings/Aversions: None really at all. I can't decide what I want to eat at all anymore.
Health/Exercise: Blah.
Mood: SO TIRED.
Husband: Been very sweet and patient as I ride the hot mess express on a daily basis. Without him being so sweet, I wouldn't know what to do!
Looking Forward To: We have our monthly doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Excited to hear the little babe's heartbeat!

Um, how did this happen? Half way through my pregnancy, and I feel like this little wiggle worm was just the size of a poppy seed last week! I can't believe I've hit the twenty week mark, and am still shocked and completely thrilled to know and have it confirmed yet again that we're going to be spoiled with a little girl come this December. Pregnancy definitely has had it's unpleasant moments, but I love the journey and can't wait to see what part two of this pregnancy has in store for us!
How far along: 20 weeks (20 weeks, 4 days to be exact)
Due Date: December 17, 2015
Baby is the size of: A banana - about 6 inches, 10 ounces. We had a routine appointment at a perinatal doctor this past week, and baby girl was measuring right on track in every way.
Symptoms: THE PREGNANCY DREAMS! So bizarre and so many of them. I don't feel like I'm getting the right amount of sleep because I'm constantly dreaming and waking up either scared out of my mind about something I can't even remember or thinking about how random and odd the dream was. Other than that, I've been doing okay in the symptom department. I've had some round ligament pains, but nothing too bad. A few evenings of sore hips and a sore back, usually when I've spent the day in my classroom. Seems like acne has come back a little. Yuck.
Gender: Like I mentioned before, we had it confirmed we were having a sweet little girl! Our first ultrasound wasn't done by my doctor, and because I was SO convinced I was having a boy, I wanted to wait until this past appointment to really set it in my mind that I was going to be a girl mama. Let the baby clothes shopping begin!
You can check out our gender reveal party here.
Name: We pretty much have her name, and I really don't know what we're waiting on to announce it. :) Just making sure it's THE ONE.
Movement: This week I've definitely felt more movement than previous weeks. It's still more typical at night for me to feel her, but it's picked up more during the day. Before I was feeling her little kicks on my left side where her little legs are. This week she must have done some extra bicep curls in there, because she's thrown a few punches more in the middle of my belly!
Nursery: Now that I KNOW she's a little lady, I want to start getting some of the big pieces bought. I still can't decide on a crib, and I really don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Oh, the decisions! I found some colors I really like, I just need to find coordinating bedding.
Maternity Clothes: Well I did it. I bought maternity clothes. Although I don't feel like my belly is very pronounced yet (I still just look fat in most outfits cause I'm carrying low and in my hips), I knew I needed some clothes for back to school. I really don't know why people don't wear maternity pants all the time because they're amazing. Who needs button and zippers. Not this pregnant lady!
Sleep: See above. Weird dreams, scary dreams, random dreams. Tossing and turning. My sweeeeeeet new neighbor let me borrow her body pillow and I LOVE it. I can't thank her enough for saving me money in purchasing one.
Best Moment This Week: Our ultrasound this past Monday! She looked as cute as ever, and was so relieved to know that everything looks perfectly healthy! It really made me SO excited to meet her in December!
Missing Anything: My request after I give birth is a Publix Sub. Wheat bread. Turkey. Mayo. Swiss cheese. Spicy mustard. Lettuce. Pickles. Oil. Vinegar. Salt. Pepper. Oregano. With a side of a Varsity chili dog with mustard. Got that? Whoever brings me that first gets to hold the baby.
Cravings/Aversions: Although a sandwich and chili dog sounds nice, I really can't say I'm craving anything. I don't have any aversions really anymore, but I just don't like food that much recently. I eat because I have to. But nothing sounds super amazing.
Health/Exercise: Still eating pretty good. Moving around A LOT when I'm working in my classroom. Moving to the point my muscles are sore by that evening and for the next few days. That's my exercise.
Mood: SO EXCITED to be having a little girl still. I just can't even stand it!
Husband: Relieved we have a healthy little girl! Told me the other day that I looked pregnant and it made him really excited. I really didn't know if that meant I looked fat, but he said no. (good answer!) He complimented my growing belly and said it just feels more real now. He can't wait to watch my belly keep growing. Which I thought was sweet.
Looking Forward To: I don't know if I'm looking forward to going back to work on Monday, but I'm excited to get the school year started in the sense that I'm that much closer to meeting my baby girl!

Due Date: December 17, 2015
Baby is the size of: A mango - 6 inches, 8.5 ounces.
Symptoms: Really can't complain about symptoms this week. Acne seems to have gotten better, but still present. Stuffy nose morning and night, but I can deal. Some round ligament pain. But not too much of anything else - keeping my fingers crossed!
Gender: A precious little girl. You can check out our gender reveal party here.
Name: Thinking we've made the decision. Haven't really finalized anything or decided to announce it yet. Still making sure it's the one. Saying it a lot to make sure it sounds good too!
Movement: Movements are more at night than during the day. Some days its more than others, and some days I don't feel much at all (which kinda worries me when I don't feel much).
Nursery: Still on the hunt for the perfect crib. Debating how much we want to spend. I have a feeling we're just going to have to pick one and be done with it. I found a dresser that's a good price that'll I'll probably go with. And I think I have a color scheme in mind. Once we have the gender confirmed on Monday at our ultrasound, I'll feel better about making some nursery decisions!
Maternity Clothes: I'm giving in finally to maternity clothes by ordering some online. It's like I've been boycotting for the last 15 weeks, but it really just hasn't been too desperately needed thanks to my lazy summer wardrobe. I tried on dresses that used to be pretty loose and then I just end up feeling like a sausage. My tummy isn't the only thing growing - butt, boobs and thighs are having a field day with this whole pregnancy thing. But I still wouldn't change it for the world.
Sleep: No problems sleeping at all. Taking advantage of my summer sleeping schedule for a few more days since it'll really be the last summer of sleeping in however long I want to. The days I work in my classroom especially make for an extra good sleeping night.
Best Moment This Week: Celebrating my sweet little peanut, Luke, at his birthday party this past Saturday. It was great seeing Brittany and watching her sweet little belly grow!
Missing Anything: DUH. Sandwiches!
Cravings/Aversions: I crave things and then I have it and I don't want it anymore. It becomes a little repulsing. Like the chicken salad and Greek salads I made for lunch this week. Not feeling it anymore. There's really nothing in particular I'm dying to have anymore.
Health/Exercise: Eating pretty good. Aside from my ice cream the last couple of nights...
Mood: EXCITED about our little girl. Getting a little sad about going back to work...call me spoiled.
Husband: Still excited we're having a little girl. Excited about our next doctor's appointment!
Looking Forward To: Our ultrasound on MONDAY! We have an appointment with a specialist to check to make sure that baby girl is still a baby girl, and making sure she's healthy and growing strong. We can't wait to see her sweet little face!!!

How far along: 18 weeks
Due Date: December 17, 2015
Baby is the size of: A sweet potato! Holy potato. Almost 6 inches, not quite.
Symptoms: I'm adding swollen ankles (yay for kankles - not.) and puffy looking feet to my symptom list this week. I worked pretty diligently in my classroom the other day and I think I may have been on my feet too much, hence the kankles. Acne like a preteen. Stuffy nose morning and evening. A couple afternoons of nausea. And a tummy feeling really full, tight and just LARGE.
Gender: My sweet little GIRL. :) You can check out our gender reveal party here.
Name: After several opinions (all nice ones, but opinions nonetheless) about the two names we had narrowed down for our sweet baby girl, I kinda wanted to find something different and not tell anybody until it was final. Feeling a little hopeless, Cody and I found a couple names we really love and are now leaning towards those. Once they're final, we'll let the world know!
Movement: Her movements are still random - usually when I'm hungry, have eaten or in the evenings when I'm relaxing and calm. Some days it's more than others. She should be getting stronger and stronger each day!
Nursery: We visited Pottery Barn Kids over the weekend, which of course left me dying to start on her nursery. We've been really trying to pick out a crib that we like, and I'm wondering if I should look into the low profile crib at Pottery Barn since I'm pretty short. I know when they first start in the crib the mattress is raised higher, which I can easily reach. I'm just worried about when baby girl gets bigger and the mattress needs to be lowered so we don't end up with a dare devil of a baby.
Maternity Clothes: This whole body of mine is OUT OF CONTROL. Trying on my regular clothes is pretty darn depressing. Cody's sweet cousin let me borrow some of her maternity tops, which I couldn't have been more thankful for. And I plan on doing some shopping before school starts.
Sleep: Not the best. Flipping and turning a lot to get comfortable.
Best Moment This Week: Maybe deciding on a name?! Eeek!
Missing Anything: I don't even need to say it.
Cravings/Aversions: Chicken salad. Greek salads.
Health/Exercise: Working in my classroom for six hours was plenty for me.
Mood: So excited to be having a girl still! Happy for the most part!
Husband: Always talking about what kind of dad he'll be to our sweet girl. Excited to feel her move, even though we have a few weeks until she's strong enough.
Looking Forward To: Watching this belly grow. We have our 20 week anatomy ultrasound in a couple weeks, so although I don't want summer break to end, I sure do want this appointment to hurry and get here! I can't wait to see her little face in detail!
