What I'm Packing for My Honeymoon

Hey y'all!
I can't believe I've been a Mrs. for four days!
I have been wearing out my new monogram like nobody's business, and I'm pretty sure my Kate Spade "mrs." earrings haven't left my earlobes.
I just love it.
Before I jump into my packing guide for my honeymoon in a few days...
I wanted to let y'all know that Miss Nora Leigh graced her presence into the world last night at 7:32pm! Ashley and baby Nora are doing so great, and we cannot wait to see them both. Cody and I waited at the hospital last night until we found out she was born, gave Ashley's husband, Paul, a big congratulatory hug and then left to let family enjoy their new little precious gift. We didn't want to intrude on family time! Cody and I are going to hopefully sneak over there tonight, if not tomorrow, and as soon as we do, and I get approval from mom to post a picture of sweet little Nora bug, then I definitely will!

Cody and I are leaving for our honeymoon Friday afternoon.
Our ship doesn't leave the port until Sunday, so we're heading down a couple days early to enjoy some beach time in Florida before we set sail for the Bahamas.
I knew when it came time to start getting things together for the honeymoon, I'd probably be broke after spending so much for the wedding. And right I was because I'm almost poor until my next pay check. Luckily, for Christmas and my birthday, I asked for Target gift cards for this very reason. With all my Target money racked up, I can shop for new outfits, bathing suits, beach bags and big floppy hats to pack away for our fun in the sun and feel completely guilt free about it.
Here are a few things I've had my eye on...
Honeymoon Packing @ Target

  • Eos lip treatment: The last thing you want on your honeymoon, is some sunburnt, crusty lips! My husband will thank me for this I am sure!
  • Hawaiian Tropic Hydration Sunscreen: I know my fake bake isn't going to hold up too well in the hot sun of the Bahamas, so a good mist sunscreen is a must.
  • Hawaiian Tropic Hydration After Sun: After spending all day in the sun, I want my skin to still feel healthy and hydrated.
  • Banana Boat Tanning Oil: I'm going to try and get some tan while I'm done there, but I'm going to need to pace myself and get small doses over a few days. No sunburnt skin here please!
  • Essie Nail Polish: I don't think my pedicure from the honeymoon is going to hold up for another week, and I still want to feel pretty and polished for my husband!
  • Brimmed Hat: There's always a point in the day, where enough sun is enough. Plus, these wide brimmed hats look so stinkin' cute!
  • Sunglasses: To cover up my no make-up face, sunglasses will still help me feel cute and block out any extra rays.
  • Striped Beach Bag: Even when we're on a beach or by the pool, us girls still carry a bunch of crap around. The bigger the bag the better!
  • Red Cross Body Purse: I know one of our stops on the cruise, we're going to want to explore the town. I want something that's comfortable that lays over my body and not on my shoulder to hold all of necessities. And camera.
  • Crochet Cover-Up: Walking around on deck, getting on and off the boat, I'm going to want something light and easy to take off. Cute is also a must!
  • Lace Denim Shorts: Shorts. Because it's going to be freakin' hot. And they're comfortable.
  • Bathing Suit: I need like five! Because one is never enough for your honeymoon! I'm going to flaunt it ladies!
  • Mason Jar Tumbler: Stay hydrated! Nobody likes a party pooper passed out on the beach or by the pool.
I cannot wait to spend seven days with my husband to officially start our life as a married couple! It's going to be incredible! I can't wait to share pictures, and I promise (for as long as I have service), I will be posting pictures on Instagram. Follow me at laureneh7!
And because my photographer is amazing - THANK YOU KATIE RIVERS! - I already have a wedding sneak peek for y'all tomorrow!! Eeeek!
Y'all will not be disappointed!
